The owners of this property had already received DA approvals for the renovation and extension works of their single level 1980’s property prior to starting conversations with RICC.  They had already engaged a company that specialised in first-floor additions, and the construction works for that build were already underway.

RICC was then contracted to oversee the ground floor works of the original property.  The brief was to modernise; to open up the space and create a more light-filled home; and to design and install a new kitchen.

We removed various walls separating the lounge room, dining room, kitchen, family room and hallway to create a fully-open plan section of the house.  To allow for more usable space and a larger kitchen, we bricked up selected windows, with new windows installed in different locations to maximise light into the home.

A new large custom kitchen was designed and installed, including a five-metre island and breakfast bar with contrasting yet complementary stone bench-tops and splash-back.

The Hamptons style front door in Dulux ‘Western Myall’ was also a hit.
